India Medtronic partners with Cardiac Design Labs to revolutionize cardiac monitoring
India Medtronic Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Medtronic plc (NYSE:MDT), in a groundbreaking move, has announced a strategic collaboration with Cardiac Design Labs (CDL) to launch a novel diagnostic technology, Padma Rhythms. This external loop recorder (ELR) patch is designed for comprehensive, long-term heart monitoring and diagnosis, marking a significant advancement in cardiac care technology in India.
Under this collaboration, Medtronic will become the exclusive distributor of Padma Rhythms in India, while both companies will jointly develop training and education programs to expand the reach of this ELR technology across the country. This partnership aims to make advanced cardiac diagnostic tools accessible to a wider population, addressing a critical need in healthcare.

The ELR device, a blend of convenience and advanced capabilities, has been designed and manufactured in India by CDL. It features a connected platform for managing tests, data, algorithms, analysis, review, and reporting, revolutionizing cardiac care with its wearability and dependability.

With the death rate due to CVD in India higher than the global average, the launch of Padma Rhythms addresses a critical health challenge.
