How Infosys is changing the game for Delaware Department of Labor
Infosys Public Services (“IPS”), a subsidiary of Infosys (NSE, BSE, NYSE: INFY), has secured a significant contract from the Delaware Department of Labor to revitalize the state’s unemployment insurance, tax benefits, and appeals programs. This collaboration will also extend to developing a new system for Delaware’s paid family medical leave program, utilizing the Infosys LaborForce solution to enhance the efficiency and service delivery of key state labor initiatives.
Delaware’s decision to partner with Infosys Public Services marks a strategic move to address the operational inefficiencies and customer service challenges posed by its aging legacy systems. These systems have been detrimental in delivering critical services promptly, characterized by manual processes, incorrect data entries, and delays. The implementation of Infosys LaborForce, a Salesforce-based enterprise labor system, is set to transform these processes by integrating unemployment insurance and paid family medical leave programs into a unified, cloud-native solution.
Infosys LaborForce stands out due to its robust Salesforce platform foundation, which promises industry-leading performance and enhanced employee experiences. This platform supports accelerated development through its CRM and Low/No Code capabilities, meeting most of Delaware’s state requirements right out of the box. The system is designed to build efficiency, introduce new capabilities, and adapt promptly to changing economic conditions.
One of the critical aspects of the Infosys LaborForce solution is its ability to enhance data security and access management within the Department of Labor. This enhancement will significantly reduce the potential for fraud and improve the system’s overall security infrastructure. Additionally, the solution’s flexibility will enable the agency to support new programs and functionalities seamlessly.
The project has already commenced, with the Delaware Department of Labor leveraging additional IT and Project Management Office (PMO) services from CAI, a global services firm, to ensure smooth implementation. The collaboration between Infosys Public Services and CAI is anticipated to foster an effective relationship and successful project execution.
Karryl Hubbard, Secretary of the Delaware Department of Labor, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Infosys Public Services to implement Infosys LaborForce and vastly improve the services we provide,” Hubbard stated. She highlighted the urgent need for a transformation that not only optimizes operational processes but also provides a robust technology platform capable of responding swiftly to the dynamic economic and regulatory environment.
Lax Gopisetty, President and CEO of Infosys Public Services, reflected on the significance of the project. “We are honored and excited to work with the Delaware Department of Labor and help them navigate their implementation journey with Infosys LaborForce,” said Gopisetty. He emphasized the expertise brought by Infosys Public Services’ National Labor Practice, which has extensive experience modernizing labor systems across more than 20 states.
Nasi Jazayeri, Executive Vice President and General Manager at Salesforce Public Sector Solutions & Net Zero Cloud, also commented on the collaboration. “Built on our powerful Salesforce Public Sector Solutions and government cloud platform, Infosys LaborForce has groundbreaking implications for the entire state government labor systems market,” Jazayeri remarked.
This transformative project by Infosys Public Services for the Delaware Department of Labor is poised to set a new standard in the industry, delivering exceptional customer service and operational efficiency through its innovative, integrated cloud-native labor system.
