Hero MotoCorp, an Indian motorcycles and scooters manufacturer said that it recorded sales of 14,38,623 units in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2021-22 from July to September 2021.
It can be noted that the Hero Honda brand owner sales had sold 10,24,507 units during the first quarter of the fiscal year 2021-22 from April to June.
During the month of September 2021, the two-wheeler manufacturer is said to have dispatched 530,346 units of motorcycles and scooters. Of these 4,89,417 were motorcycles, while 40,929 were scooters.
The Indian automobile manufacturer registered exports of 24,884 motorcycles and scooters in September 2021.
According to Hero MotoCorp, the increase in volumes on a progressive basis shows a gradual recovery in the economy. Ahead of the peak festive season, the bikes and scooters manufacturer said that it is optimistic regarding the demand for its vehicles over the coming months.
Hero MotoCorp stated: “Normal monsoon and the encouraging farm activity is likely to contribute towards positive customer sentiments. Increased pace of vaccination drives and the preference for personal mobility is also expected to lead to a swift revival in sales.”
