Indian motorcycles and scooters manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has announced Motosport SA as its exclusive distributor to expand its operations in Costa Rica.
As the sole distributor for the sales and maintenance of Hero MotoCorp motorcycles and scooters throughout Costa Rica, Motosport SA is expected to play an important role in the rapid growth of Hero MotoCorp’s distribution network throughout the Central American country.
Since its inception in 2002, Motosport SA has been engaged in the service, sales, and parts of motorcycles with networks that span the whole country.
According to Hero MotoCorp, its expansion plan in Costa Rica is being done in a phased manner with the opening of the initial company store in Uruca region, which is a major commercial and industrial area in San Jose.
The store will showcase 13 motorcycles in various segments. It will also have separate spare parts areas and workshop areas. Later on, a couple of stores will be open in Alajuela and Paseo Colon.
The next stage of growth will see four additional Hero MotoCorp stores come up in Heredia, Cartago, Nicoya, and Liberia and then the network will expand to all major areas of Costa Rica.
The Indian automobile company will launch an exclusive product line-up consisting comprising five models across the Central American country, which include sports and off-road scooters and motorcycles. Popular motorcycles around the world such as the Hero Xpulse 200 Advance and Hero Hunk 160R will be presented with new styling.
The range will also comprise Hunk 150, Xpulse 200T, and Dash 125.

Hero MotoCorp and Motosport SA are convinced that the latest designs and technologies of the former will appeal to the Costa Rican marketplace. Given the reasonable price of the bikes and the top-of-the-line technology and features, the brand Hero is set to soon take large chunks of market share in the Costa Rica market, claimed the Indian motorcycles and scooters manufacturer.
Motosport’s national aftersales and parts network will ensure customers get the best possible ownership experience. Besides, Motosport will provide special offers and financing plans for customers, said Hero MotoCorp.
