Helene Auriol Potier joins Infosys as independent director to drive strategic vision

Indian IT giant Infosys has announced the appointment of Helene Auriol Potier as an Independent Director of the company, effective 26 May 2023.

This decision was made based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the Infosys Board. The appointment is subject to the approval of shareholders and will be valid for a period of three years.

Helene Auriol Potier brings a wealth of experience in digital technologies and the telecommunications industry, having built an impressive global career across multiple geographies.

Her career began in telecommunications in New York in 1986, and she subsequently spent 15 years at Canadian mobile technology company, Nortel Networks Corporation, holding various senior leadership positions including Vice President Sales Mobile Division Worldwide and Vice President Services & Operations EMEA.

In 2005, Helene Auriol Potier joined Dell as the CEO for Africa, Mediterranean, and CEE regions. She later joined Microsoft in 2008, serving in several senior leadership roles over a decade, including CEO of Microsoft Singapore and Managing Director of Artificial Intelligence Europe.

Helene Auriol Potier’s professional journey also includes her role as Executive Vice-President in charge of International Business B2B for Orange from November 2018 to December 2020. She is a respected speaker on topics such as digital transformation, corporate governance, and ESG, said Infosys.

With her extensive experience, Helene Auriol Potier has served as an independent director on the boards of notable companies such as Mimecast, Ispen, and Faiveley Transport.

She holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Telecom Paris and an Executive MBA from INSEAD.

Currently, Helene Auriol Potier serves as an independent non-executive director on the boards of Safran, Accor, Randstad, and Oddo BHF S.C.A. She chairs the Accor board ESG committee and the Oddo BHF board compensation committee.

Additionally, Helene Auriol Potier holds positions as the ESG co-chair and board member at Institut Français des Administrateurs (IFA), the French association of corporate directors. She is also a senior advisor at a leading global private equity firm.
