HealthCare Global Enterprises commissions solar power plant in Jagaluru

HealthCare Global Enterprises (HCG), an Indian cancer care provider, has commissioned a 2.25MW plant in the Jagaluru Village, district in Karnataka.

Installed across 7.2 acres of land, the solar power project in Jagaluru is part of ‘ contribution towards enhancing environmental and social factors with energy optimization and a bid to achieve zero emissions.

The cancer care provider said that as a phase 1 initiative, the solar power plant is implemented at its flagship center in Bengaluru KR Road and HCG Suchirayu Hospital located in Hubli.

The solar power plant is designed to produce 1,040 lakh units of electricity over a 25-year period and bring down carbon emissions by up to 76,200 metric tons. Besides, the solar power project will help HealthCare Global Enterprises save up to INR 4.2 crores in the form of average annual savings.

As a part of phase 2, HealthCare Global Enterprises, in the future, plans to execute the initiative at all its centers in other regions.

HealthCare Global Enterprises had roped in as the implementation partner for the solar power project with the latter to support operations, maintenance, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services.
