HCLTech appoints Lee Fang Chew to board of directors

In a strategic move to bolster its leadership, HCLTech, a leading global technology company, has announced the appointment of Lee Fang Chew as an Independent Director, effective April 25, 2024. With over three decades of experience in the global technology sector, Lee Fang Chew brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of technological evolution, especially in computing. Her career includes a long tenure at Intel Corporation from 1986 to 2016, where she held various leadership roles, significantly contributing to the expansion of Intel’s architecture in data centers, cloud solutions, and consumer and business markets. She spearheaded Intel’s services business and led strategic planning for the Channel Product Group, which involved market requirements, sizing, and product and technology roadmaps. Her responsibilities also extended to overseeing Intel’s Global Distribution & Channel revenue and serving as the Financial Controller for the Asia Pacific region.

Following her time at Intel, Lee Fang Chew served as Vice President of Strategic Alliances at Applied Materials from 2017 to 2020, where she was instrumental in developing the company’s technology value proposition and building long-term strategic partnerships.

Lee Fang Chew completed her Bachelor of Accountancy at the National University of Singapore and participated in the Women’s Director Development Program at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. She has also completed executive programs for women leaders at Stanford University. Her leadership and influence in the industry were recognized when she was named one of the 50 most powerful women in the channel in the USA by VAR Business Magazine in August 2006.
