HCL Technologies to help Rogers Communications in operational stability

HCL Technologies said that it has been selected by Canadian telecommunications company Rogers Communications for expanding support of operational stability excellence in business as well as operational support systems and corporate IT systems.

The Indian IT services provider said that the new multi-year agreement consolidates its managed services partnership with Rogers Communications that started in 2016.

HCL Technologies will help scale the Canadian firm’s shifting of the IT infrastructure and workloads to the current private and public cloud infrastructure, support the operations of the enterprise, and serve as the ongoing managed services provider.

Vikram Virk — Rogers Communications Vice President of IT Operations said: “HCL has played an important role in supporting the reliability of our operations since 2016 and has provided tremendous value by enabling us to scale IT operational efficiency and stability.

“We are pleased to renew and expand our strategic partnership with HCL to help support our customers.”

The expanded contract will enable the Indian IT company to invest in the next generation of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning for allowing best practices, fast track efficiencies, and give the required flexibility to Rogers Communications for harnessing the new era of digital technologies and 5G.
