HCL Technologies has entered into a partnership with South Korean software company HANCOM for sharing advanced software technology solutions as well as for setting up a mutual bridgehead for overseas expansion.
The Indian IT services provider said that it will support training for software development at the Korean company’s research and development (R&D) center in India, which opened in 2016.
Apart from that, HCL Technologies will share its development studio and provide human resources (HR) support to address demand and development capacity at the R&D center.
The Indian IT company will also promote technological cooperation to bolster the global competitiveness of HANCOM products.
Daeki Kim — Chief Operating Officer at HANCOM said: “HCL’s modern applications and architecture principles will allow us to scale our products to make them more suitable for enterprise customers in the global market and ultimately achieve global aspirations with our products.”
The parties also intend to work together on global market expansion, which includes HANCOM’s foray into Southeast Asian countries like Taiwan, Vietnam, and Bangladesh, Middle Eastern countries, and HCL Technologies’ business expansion into the South Korean market.

Recently, HCL Technologies had launched a dedicated HCL Cisco Ecosystem Unit, which will focus on creating solutions to accelerate the digital journeys for its clients.
