HCL Technologies appoints Adolfo Calviño Asensio as Spain, Portugal head
HCL Technologies has appointed a new country head of Spain and Portugal in the form of Adolfo Calviño Asensio to fast track business growth in the region across all major industry verticals.
The Indian IT services company said that the important appointment is the first of various strategic investments it intends to make in Iberia amid the expansion of its geographic presence.
Adolfo Calviño said: “I’m extremely pleased to join the leadership team at HCL and alongside my accomplished colleagues we aim to accelerate and expand business growth in Spain and Portugal.
“I believe there is a great potential for HCL to engage with the local ecosystem, through leveraging its transformational expertise and next-generation technology capabilities. This will drive our strategy and partnerships in the region, as we elevate our offerings across all industry verticals.”
Adolfo Calviño Asensio is said to have 25+ years of industry experience, during which he had been in various senior management roles and had expanded new businesses in major accounts spread over IT and business services.
He joins HCL Technologies from Accenture, where he was in a team that was responsible for growing the latter’s business in Spain.
