Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort : KONE to supply elevators for new conference center and hotel

KONE, an elevator and escalator manufacturer, has bagged an order to deliver 16 KONE elevators for Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in Cherokee, North Carolina.

The elevators will be for the new conference center and hotel tower, which are being built at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort, owned by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and operated by Caesars Entertainment will have 700 plus hotel rooms in a 19-story tower. The conference space in the casino resort will have 83,000 square feet of space.

KONE said that the installation of the elevators is planned to begin in August, with the project likely to be completed substantially in 2021.

The new conference center and hotel tower at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort is set to open in 2021. It will also feature retail and dining, a pool and fitness center alongside a 2,000-space parking garage.

Whiting-Turner is the general contractor for the new conference center and resort.
