In a strategic acquisition that aims to broaden its product offering and international footprint, Harmar Mobility, a leading U.S. manufacturer of stairlifts and mobility devices based in Sarasota, Florida, has acquired Pollock Lifts, a company headquartered in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland. The partnership is set to strengthen Harmar’s position in the global market, integrating Pollock’s expertise in elevators, homelifts, and steplifts.

Steve Dawson, CEO of Harmar Mobility, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, emphasizing the synergy between the two companies. Pollock Lifts, with over 40 years of industry experience, supplies, installs, and services a wide range of lift solutions throughout the UK, Ireland, Europe, Australia, and North America. In the summer of 2023, the company added the UP Stairlift—a modular curved stairlift manufactured by the Netherlands-based DeVi Stairlift—to its line.
