Guru Capital to acquire British fintech company Oval Money

Swiss private equity firm Guru Capital has agreed to acquire substantially all the assets of Oval Money, a UK-based fintech company, for an undisclosed price.

Guru Capital said that it will integrate Oval Money into its portfolio company – ETX Capital, a UK-based online CFD Broker.

Additionally, the Swiss private equity firm is negotiating the acquisition by an associated fund of all the shares of Oval Marketplace, the Spanish regulated investment firm subsidiary of Oval Money.

The acquisitions are said to support the shared mission of ETX Capital and Oval Money of making a wide variety of financial services and products that everyone can access at affordable rates.

ETX Capital stated: “The combination will help accelerate business growth and client engagement by supporting clients in setting smart rules for defining their savings habits and investment goals, making payments, and tracking spending as well as trading in the financial markets through a single mobile app.”
