GIC acquires premier logistics facility in Yokohama, Japan

Global investment firm GIC has further strengthened its portfolio with the acquisition of a high-quality logistics facility in Yokohama, Japan. Situated in the Kanagawa Prefecture within the Greater Tokyo metropolitan area, the asset boasts an advantageous location that provides seamless access to the entire region.

This acquisition encompasses a flagship logistics facility developed by Daiwa House Industry, a leading Japanese real estate developer. The four-floor property, completed in 2022, spans over 126,000 square meters and stands as one of Daiwa House’s largest developments. Fully occupied, the facility features modern specifications suited for various tenants, including seismic-base isolation for enhanced earthquake resistance.

This recent purchase follows GIC’s 2023 acquisition spree of Daiwa House-developed logistics facilities throughout Japan.
