GE T&D India bags orders worth Rs 370cr from Power Grid Corporation of India
In a major development for India’s power sector, GE T&D India Ltd. (NSE: GE T&D Ltd.), operating under GE Vernova’s Grid Solutions business, has announced securing orders valued at approximately INR 370 crores from the Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL). These orders are for the supply of 765 kV Shunt Reactors, integral to PGCIL’s transmission system projects across India, including key states like Rajasthan and Karnataka. GE T&D India is tasked with providing a comprehensive equipment package for PGCIL’s projects, which includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, erection, and commissioning of the 765 kV class reactors at designated transmission substation sites. The delivery of these reactors is scheduled for the fiscal years 2025-26, marking a significant milestone in the country’s efforts to enhance its electrical infrastructure.
