GAIL (India) has signed a concession agreement with the Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) for installing a compressed biogas plant (CBG plant) in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and other dignitaries.
Under the terms of the agreement, GAIL will install a compressed biogas plant with a processing capacity of 150 tons per day of organic municipal solid waste (MSW).
The compressed biogas plant in Ranchi will produce five tons of compressed biogas (CBG) per day and nearly 25 tons of fermented bio manure per day.
GAIL (India) stated: “CBG plant would be beneficial for people of Ranchi by producing clean & green fuel and will be a step towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat.”
