From Mumbai to Doha: Akasa Air expands wings beyond Indian borders

Akasa Air, an emerging Indian airline, has announced the commencement of its operations to Doha, marking the airline’s first foray into international destinations. Beginning on March 28, 2024, the airline will operate four non-stop flights weekly, connecting Mumbai, India’s bustling commercial hub, with Doha, Qatar’s vibrant capital city. This new route aims to strengthen air connectivity between Qatar and India, enhancing opportunities for tourism, commerce, and cultural exchange. Flights are now available for booking on Akasa Air’s platform, with return fares starting at QAR 1272.

Since its launch in August 2022, Akasa Air has rapidly grown, establishing a strong domestic network across 20 cities in India, serving over 7.75 million passengers, and handling more than 50,000 tonnes of cargo. The airline’s expansion into Qatar signifies a significant phase of growth, extending the warm and efficient Akasa experience to international travelers at affordable fares.
