Fresh Express has launched three new salad kit flavors in Canada, which include the Twisted Caesar Classic Caesar, Twisted Caesar Asian Caesar Chopped Salad Kits, and an Italian Balsamic Salad Kit.

The salads producer, which is subsidiary of Chiquita Brands, said that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, consumers have reduced restaurant or out-of-home dining and are having most of their meals prepared at home. This has grown the demand for meal solutions that are flavorful, nutritious, and also easy to prepare.

Fresh Express by rolling out the new recipes in Canada said that it is giving more variety than ever before for consumers.

Fabian Pereira – Vice President of Marketing and Innovation at Fresh Express said: “Research with the Fresh Express consumer panel indicated that there was a high level of interest for salad kits with fan-favorite flavor profiles, including Caesar and Italian.

“Our new offerings enhance those beloved recipes with premium ingredients like dried pineapple or herbed seasoned croutons and fresh, crisp lettuce and vegetables to make it easy for consumers to create at-home versions of the salads they love.”

According to the salads producer, Twisted Caesar Classic Caesar contains cracked pepper, grated Parmesan cheese, herbed seasoned croutons, and a creamy Parmesan Caesar dressing, which top crisp iceberg and green leaf lettuce.

Twisted Caesar Asian Caesar contains Asian-inspired flavors such as sweet pineapple, black sesame seeds, and ginger for elevating the iceberg and green leaf lettuce salad, which is given a finishing with wonton strips, a creamy Asian Caesar dressing, and grated Parmesan cheese.

Italian Balsamic is a fresh iceberg and green leaf lettuce, radicchio, which is tossed with a White Balsamic Vinaigrette, an Italian three-cheese blend, and focaccia croutons.
