Fortis Fire & Safety acquires Florida-based LifeSafety Management

Fortis Fire & Safety, a US-based fire protection service company, has acquired LifeSafety Management (LSM) for an undisclosed price in a move to foray into Florida.

Based in Boynton Beach, LifeSafety Management has been a fire protection and life safety company in South Florida for more than two decades. The company installs, services, tests, inspects, monitors, and maintains all types of fire alarms, fire suppressions, fire sprinklers, and security systems, and also emergency exit lighting and fire extinguishers.

Tom Vining – Executive Chairman of Fortis Fire & Safety said: “Fortis is excited to welcome the LSM team into the Fortis family as its first acquisition in Florida.

“LSM is a high-quality fire protection service company operating throughout South Florida and will provide us with a foothold to significantly grow our presence in Florida.”

The acquisition of LifeSafety Management follows Fortis Fire & Safety’s recent and first ever acquisition of VFS Fire & Security Services based in Orange County, California.

Fortis Fire & Safety was launched in January 2021 by Imperial Capital Group, a lower middle market private equity firm.

Josh Kochen – Vice President at Imperial Capital said: “It is exciting to launch with two early acquisitions providing Fortis with operations across three states.

“The team is aggressively looking for other opportunities to continue to build out Fortis’ presence in its current and additional states and are excited about the other acquisition and partnership opportunities in the pipeline.”
