Equinox Gold suspends operations at Los Filos Mine in Mexico due to road blockade

Equinox Gold said that it has temporarily suspended mining activities at its Los Filos Mine in Mexico since 3 September due to an “illegal road blockade” by members of the neighboring Carrizalillo community.

The Canadian gold mining company said that the individuals are accusing it of not complying with the community social collaboration agreement, which was signed last year.
