Entro Security secures $18m to expand NHI and Secrets Management Platform

Entro Security, a leading developer of Non-Human Identity (NHI) security and Secrets Management platform, announced today that it has successfully closed an $18 million Series A funding round. The investment round was led by Dell Technologies Capital, with participation from seed investors Hyperwise Ventures and StageOne Ventures, alongside notable angel investors, Rakesh Loonkar and Mickey Boodaei. The new capital will bolster Entro’s global operations and address the burgeoning demand for its platform across various industries.

Addressing the NHI Security Challenge

With cloud and SaaS adoption accelerating, NHIs—such as API keys, service accounts, tokens, and certificates—have proliferated, outnumbering human employees by 45 times. This surge has created significant security vulnerabilities, exemplified by high-profile breaches like the recent Dropbox incident. According to industry analysts, NHI and secrets breaches are the second most frequent and costly attacks. Entro’s platform aims to tackle these challenges by securing, managing, and automating the lifecycle of NHIs from inception to rotation.

Itzik Alvas, CEO and co-founder of Entro Security, emphasized, “Both IBM and Verizon reports ranked NHI and secrets breaches as the second most frequent attack and the costliest one, which is why interest in our platform has spiked by CISOs and security leaders. We are eager to use the Series A funding to continue to lead this vertical, serve our dozens of customers and scale.”

Advanced Features of Entro’s Platform

Entro’s platform offers comprehensive Non-Human Identity Lifecycle Management, Secrets Security, and Non-Human Identity Detection and Response (NHIDR). Key features include:

– Complete Visibility: Providing a bird’s-eye view of NHIs across various systems and environments.

– Contextual Analysis: Enriching data with business context to understand ownership, permissions, and usage.

– Risk Identification and Mitigation: Prioritizing security risks and automating remediation processes.

– Real-Time Detection and Response: Monitoring for abnormal behaviors to prevent unauthorized access.

– Compliance Assurance: Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards like SOC2, GDPR, and others.

Industry Recognition and Client Success

Entro’s innovative approach has quickly gained traction, with customers like Booking, SolarWinds, Elastic, KAYAK, and Regatta Great Outdoors. Or Avraham, Cloud Security Specialist at Regatta Great Outdoors, commented, “Entro has become an essential tool for our organization. The platform provides advanced capabilities such as removing secrets exposure and Non-Human Identity Detection and Response, integrating easily into our existing workflows. We highly recommend Entro to any modern company looking to secure and manage the lifecycle of their Non-Human Identities and Secrets, end-to-end.”

Strategic Support from Investors

Deepak Jeevankumar, Managing Director at Dell Technologies Capital, stated, “The Entro Security team intimately understands the complex challenges of securing enterprise-scale systems. Itzik and Adam have lived these challenges which is how they’re able to build a platform that’s truly by practitioners, for practitioners to address threats to machine-to-machine interactions. Their approach is resonating with both analysts and customers with significant recognition from both. We look forward to partnering and supporting the Entro team as they build on this impressive early velocity.”

With the new funding, Entro Security is set to enhance its platform’s capabilities, expand its market presence, and further its mission to revolutionize NHI security and secrets management globally.
