ENGIE Impact’s RED acquires Callaghan Engineering

RED, a company of ENGIE Impact, has acquired Irish engineering consulting firm Callaghan Engineering, for an undisclosed price.

Callaghan Engineering, which operates out of Dublin and Cork, offers multi-discipline professional engineering design, validation, procurement, and also project and construction management services.

The company also has specialised expertise in the pharmaceuticals, data centre, and medical services sectors, which is expected to expand the existing experience of RED.

RED comprises specialist building services and information and communications technology (ICT) engineers. Alongside Callaghan Engineering, it will support firms with complex challenges in carbon intensive sectors, which are expanding operations in Ireland increasingly.

According to ENGIE Impact, the strong client base and considerable local footprint of Callaghan Engineering will fit together with the existing RED business structure and service offering.

Besides, Callaghan Engineering offers complimentary technical capabilities, while offering a springboard for growth into crucial sectors, said ENGIE Impact.
