Duravant acquires Belgian food processing solutions manufacturer Marelec
Duravant, an engineered equipment and automation solutions major, has acquired Marelec Food Technologies to expand its food processing solutions portfolio.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Marelec is headquartered in Nieuwpoort, Belgium, and manufactures food processing solutions for portioning, weighing, and grading in poultry, meat, seafood, and marine industries.
Leveraging portioning software with intelligent algorithms, the company’s turnkey systems help food processors across the globe optimize manufacturing processes through high-quality output and maximum yield.

Marelec’s manufacturing hub in Belgium houses the company’s research and development center and cooled demo room.
