Dollar General opens Dollar General Blair distribution center in Nebraska
In a strategic expansion move, Dollar General marked the grand debut of its Dollar General Blair distribution center in Blair, Nebraska distribution center – a facility showcasing dual-functionality, merging traditional and DG Fresh supply chain features. This inaugural event was not only a moment of corporate growth but also underscored the Company’s deep-rooted commitment to Washington County, evident by its generous donation to the Washington County Food Pantry at Joseph’s Coat.
Representing a whopping $140 million investment, the Dollar General Blair distribution center spreads over an extensive one million square feet. As it scales to full capacity, Blair’s local job market is set to be turbocharged with the creation of over 400 new career avenues. Furthermore, the facility’s expansive capabilities will bolster the supply chain operations of more than 1,000 Dollar Genera outlets.
Dollar General’s CEO, Jeff Owen, radiated optimism and pride during his speech, emphasizing the center as a testament to the Company’s unwavering commitment to Nebraska’s economic prosperity. Jeff Owen expressed heartfelt gratitude, especially highlighting significant collaborations with Governor Jim Pillen, the Gateway Development Corporation, and the City of Blair. As it stands, Nebraska’s partnership with Dollar General is already robust.
