DOF Group scores $260m service contracts with Petrobras
Norwegian supply shipping company DOF Group ASA proudly announces securing three new service contracts with Brazilian energy giant Petrobras. These high-value contracts, worth more than USD 260 million, were won through a competitive bid process and are set to commence in Q4 2023 or Q1 2024. They are expected to be performed within a two-year span.
The new service contracts extend DOF Group’s previous collaboration with Petrobras under the PIDF123 contracts, signed in 2020 and operational since December of that year. These contracts focus on the company’s core service lines, including Survey and Inspection, and demonstrate the continuation of services previously managed by DOF Group.
At least three vessels from DOF Group will be employed to execute over 3,200 inspections. The scope of work will include the inspection of flexible pipelines, risers, and subsea equipment across three key Brazilian offshore basins—Campos Basin, Santos Basin, and Espírito Santos Basin.
Mons S. Aase, CEO of DOF Group ASA, expressed his enthusiasm about the newly secured contracts. According to Aase, this deal not only assures high utilization for DOF Group in Brazil but also boosts the company’s backlog to above NOK 25 billion. Aase commended the continued trust that Petrobras has shown in DOF Group, especially in carrying out complex Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair (IMR) work in extremely deep waters.
With these new contracts in place, DOF Group and Petrobras continue to forge a strong and profitable partnership, adding another high-value chapter to their ongoing collaboration in offshore services.
