DDW Offshore to supply two AHTS vessels to OceanPact Servicos Maritimos
DDW Offshore has signed bareboat charter agreements with OceanPact Servicos Maritimos for supplying a couple of anchor handling tug supply vessels (AHTS vessels) for a period of 26 months.
As per the agreements, the fully-owned subsidiary of Akastor will supply the Skandi Saigon and Skandi Pacific vessels to the Brazilian subsea and logistic company.
The forward sale of the vessels has been agreed under which OceanPact Servicos Maritimos will acquire the two AHTS vessels at the end of the charter period.
The Skandi Saigon and Skandi Pacific vessels will work for Petrobras, supporting the production operations of the oil and gas giant on the Brazilian continental shelf.
The two charter agreements are expected to begin in the second quarter of this year.
Karl Erik Kjelstad – CEO of Akastor said: “By entering into these long-term agreements for two of DDW Offshore’s five vessels, DDW Offshore secures revenue and predictability going forward.
“The sale of the vessels will allow DDW Offshore to reduce its debt obligations according to the restructuring agreement reached between Akastor and DDW Offshore lenders in October last year.”
