DCB Bank, a new-generation private sector bank, announced the successful implementation of its new Direct Tax collection system, seamlessly integrated with the Government of India Income Tax Portal (TIN 2.0).
This integration is set to revolutionize the tax payment process by providing taxpayers with a convenient single platform for both tax payments and e-filing of tax returns.
DCB Bank customers can now enjoy a hassle-free experience as they make their Direct Tax payments through three primary channels. They can opt for personal and business internet banking, visit a DCB Bank branch, or choose from various payment options such as cash, cheque, or demand draft.
To avail of this efficient tax collection platform, customers need to create an account on the Income Tax Department’s e-filing portal. This account will enable them to obtain a challan reference number along with their PAN/TAN details, facilitating tax payments at any time and from anywhere with just a few clicks.
Once the challan reference number is obtained, authorized channels can be utilized to complete the payment process.
Praveen Kutty — DCB Bank Head Retail Banking said: “DCB Bank provides taxpayers with a quick, secure, and efficient direct tax payment facility. This online facility is convenient and enables taxpayers to submit the payment from the comfort of their home or office, resulting in substantial time and cost savings.
“The process involves the benefit of instant payment acknowledgement and the issuance of a challan receipt, all without incurring any charges. Our grateful thanks to the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), Government of India, for their support in this endeavor.”
The implementation of the integrated Direct Tax collection system by DCB Bank marks a significant step towards streamlining tax payments in India.
By offering a user-friendly platform that combines tax payments and e-filing in one place, DCB Bank aims to enhance convenience and save valuable time for taxpayers across the country. This achievement would not have been possible without the support and collaboration of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), Government of India.
