Cyient and Thales commit to climate action in new partnership focused on CO2 reduction

Cyient, a global leader in digital, engineering, and technology solutions, has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Thales, a world-renowned technology company, to collaboratively tackle climate change. The signing, held during Thales’s 70th anniversary in India, marks a significant step towards shared and sustainable long-term value.

Commitment to Carbon Reduction

The partnership between Cyient and Thales is underpinned by a shared commitment to a low-carbon future, aligning with Thales’s ambitious CO2 emissions reduction targets for 2030, validated by the SBTi and aligned with the Paris Agreement objectives. These include:

  • A 50% reduction in absolute CO2 emissions from operational processes (Scope 1) and energy consumption (Scope 2).
  • A 15% reduction in absolute CO2 emissions from the supply chain and product usage (Scope 3).
