Crystal Ceramics wraps up capacity expansion for glazed vitrified tiles

Crystal Ceramics Industries, a subsidiary of Asian Granito India, has wrapped up a 12,000 SQMTS/days of glazed vitrified tiles brownfield capacity expansion taken up with an investment of INR 25 crores at its tiles factory in Meshana, Gujarat.

Asian Granito India, which has a stake of 70% in Crystal Ceramics Industries, said that the capacity addition will ramp up the total capacity to 36000 SQMTS/day.

Following the capacity expansion, Crystal Ceramics India will look to manufacture large format 600X1200 mm glazed vitrified tiles for the domestic and export market at its tiles factory in Meshana.

Asian Granito India stated: “This strategic brownfield expansion was planned keeping in mind low cost natural gas benefit at Crystal Ceramics, which helps company to further reduce its manufacturing cost.”

Crystal Ceramics Industries, which had a turnover of INR 184.45 crores in FY 21, is expected to add incremental sales of nearly INR 70-75 crores following the capacity expansion.
