World Insurance Associates (WIA), a New Jersey-based insurance brokerage, has acquired Countywide Insurance Agency based in Jefferson Valley, New York, for an undisclosed price.

Countywide Insurance Agency offers insurance products for individuals and businesses across New York and Florida. The insurance agency’s team with more than six decades of experience and product knowledge, is said to give diverse and adaptable coverage options to clients.

Robert Strauss, who joins World Insurance Associates as Manager of the Countywide Insurance Agency unit, said: “We’re committed to developing and nurturing long-term relationships with our clients and carriers. Our partnership with World Insurances Associates allows us to do so with the backing and resources of a nationally recognized company.”

The legal counsel for World Insurance Associates for the deal was Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla. For Countywide Insurance Agency, the legal counsel was Veneruso, Curto, Schwartz, and Curto while Policastro & Associates advised it on the transaction.
