The 730,000 square-foot facility, which is located at 112 Bordnersville Road, will offer 225 local jobs with 75 new positions this year and a further 150 jobs by the end of next year.
The new Ferrero distribution center in Jonestown adds capacity for distributing the company’s portfolio of brands, including Baby Ruth, Crunch, and Butterfinger. Managed by DHL Supply Chain, the facility over the course of time will also distribute other brands of Ferrero.
Paul Chibe – President and CEO of Ferrero North America said: “We are thrilled to be an active business partner in Jonestown and Union Township. These communities’ commitment to economic growth was an integral part of the decision to select this location for our new distribution center.

The Ferrero distribution center will use lithium powered lifts for saving energy, will have the JDA (NTV) warehouse management system, besides deploying DHL’s MySupplyChain technology that is said to offer visibility across the entire supply chain.
