Colonial Claims acquires Premier Adjusting and Catastrophe Services

Colonial Claims, a US insurance claims service company, has acquired Tampa-based Premier Adjusting and Catastrophe Services, a first and third-party claims handler for residential and commercial losses.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The team of Premier Adjusting and Catastrophe Services will cater to their customers based in their Oldsmar, Florida office.

Eileen O’Brien – co-owner of the business of Premier Adjusting and Catastrophe Services said: “Brian [Auger, Premier co-owner] and I have been devoted to Premier for so long.

“This is not a decision that we take lightly, but we cannot imagine a better strategic and cultural fit than Colonial.”

Colonial Claims said that the acquisition bolsters its claims business. Besides, it adds appraisal and third party administrator (TPA) services to its lines of business.

Furthermore, the insurance claims service company said that its training and certification programs will be strengthened by the track record of Premier Adjusting and Catastrophe Services in recruiting and developing adjusters.

For Premier Adjusting and Catastrophe Services, the transaction gives it access to more resources to back its growth, which includes the in-house adjuster training center of Colonial Claims.
