Thirdera, renowned for its advisory, implementation, and optimization solutions related to ServiceNow, brings to Cognizant a robust global presence and a strong focus on advanced enterprise workflow products. The acquisition includes Thirdera’s ServiceNow training platform, Thirdera University – one of the world’s largest – poised to play a central role in credentialing resources to meet the growing demand in the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Expanding Global Reach and Expertise

The addition of Thirdera’s ServiceNow consultants, spread across North America, Spain, Colombia, the Netherlands, and Australia, further strengthens Cognizant’s position in the market. Thirdera’s leading role in ServiceNow training and certifications, including Certified Master Architects and Certified Technical Architects, will create a combined group with over 2,400 specialists and 14,000 certifications – making it one of the largest and most highly accredited ServiceNow partners globally.

The acquisition of Thirdera follows Cognizant’s continued expansion in the ServiceNow space, including the acquisition of ServiceNow consultancy Linium in 2021 and a strategic partnership to drive AI-driven automation announced in June 2023.

Closing and Future Prospects

The acquisition is expected to close in January 2024, subject to satisfaction of closing conditions. Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed, but the merger is seen as a game-changer in the IT consulting industry, combining Cognizant’s extensive expertise with Thirdera’s innovative solutions in the ServiceNow platform.
