CNOOC begins production from Nanbao 35-2 oilfield S1 area

Chinese national oil company CNOOC said that it has started production from its 100% owned Nanbao 35-2 oilfield S1 area in the central Bohai Sea in China.

Nanbao 35-2 oilfield S1 area is contained in an average water depth of 17 meters.

Apart from completely using the existing facilities of the Nanbao 35-2 oilfield, the major production facility of Nanbao 35-2 oilfield S1 area includes an unmanned wellhead platform.

CNOOC said that it plans to drill three development wells at the field, which is anticipated to hit its peak production of nearly 1,800 barrels of crude oil per day next year.
