City of Hope Newport Beach : City of Hope, a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center, has inaugurated its first location in Orange County at Newport Beach, California.
The new cancer treatment center which is located at 1601 Avocado Avenue, is said to have the latest customized therapies and highly specialized physicians to provide medical oncology and hematology, surgical oncology, infusion therapy, and others to its patients.
The new cancer treatment facility in Newport Beach is the first phase of City of Hope’s plan to invest $1 billion to develop and operate an Orange County cancer care network with another one to open in Irvine next year.
The specialty team at City of Hope Newport Beach is led by lung and thoracic cancer specialist and medical oncology chair Ravi Salgia, who said: “Each cancer is unique, which is why we assembled a roster of outstanding researchers and physicians who provide targeted treatments for specific cancer diagnoses.
“These clinician-scientists are among the best in their fields and are transforming laboratory breakthroughs into treatments to offer the best hope for our patients.”
City of Hope Newport Beach also provides precision prevention and early detection program so that individuals are informed of their risk factors based on genetic risk assessments, environmental exposure surveys, and biomarker panels.
For cancer patients, the new cancer treatment center in Newport Beach, offers Medical and surgical oncology expertise, family and patient education, and supportive care and survivorship programs.
