Cisco enhances board with appointment of Ekta Singh-Bushell

Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO) has officially announced the appointment of Ekta Singh-Bushell to its board of directors, effective June 14, 2024. This strategic move is aimed at strengthening the board with Singh-Bushell’s extensive experience in data, security, and services, crucial areas for Cisco as it continues to lead in the technology sector.

Singh-Bushell brings a wealth of experience from her recent role as deputy to the first vice president and chief operating officer at the Executive Office of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Her prior engagements include approximately 17 years at Ernst & Young, where she held various key positions including global client services partner, global and Americas IT Effectiveness leader, U.S. innovation & digital strategy leader, and global information security officer. Her deep knowledge in these fields is expected to bring valuable insights and leadership to Cisco.

In addition to her new role at Cisco, Singh-Bushell serves on the public company boards of ChargePoint Holdings, Inc., Huron Consulting Group Inc., Lesaka Technologies, Inc., and TTEC Holdings, Inc. She holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Poona (now Savitribai Phule Pune University). Singh-Bushell is also a licensed certified public accountant, adding financial expertise to her broad skill set.
