Centum Electronics forges partnership with Rafael Advanced Defense Systems

Centum Electronics Limited has forged a partnership with Israel-based in the field of electronic warfare systems for the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guards.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed by the Indian electronics system design and manufacturing company and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems in this connection. Under the MoU, the parties will collaborate in developing and indigenously producing futuristic light weight electronic warfare (EW) systems in lower frequency bands as well as in the life cycle support of the existing electronic warfare systems.

Executive Director said: “We are delighted to be associated with Rafael. Through this partnership, we look forward to augmenting our indigenous Electronic Warfare offerings with a range of high performance mission critical products in the domain.

“This MoU encompasses knowledge sharing and manufacturing in India, and will help us in our endeavour to build a self-reliant India. In Rafael, we have a good partner with a long history in India and technology leadership in the EW segment…and they also bring in a global perspective.”

According to Centum Electronics, as the Indian Defence sector is opening up on account of key policy changes initiated by the government, the company and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems will utilize their expertise, knowledge, and skills in the domain of electronic warfare domain to capitalise on the upcoming opportunities.

The exclusive partnership is expected to yield substantial revenues during the next three to five years, said Centum Electronics.
