CBA to roll out low alcohol, low-calorie Pacer Low Proof Seltzer range
Craft Brew Alliance (CBA)’s growth unit pH Experiment is set to launch its second new product test, which will be a range of low alcohol, low-calorie seltzers under the brand Pacer Low Proof Seltzer.
The new beverage is the latest innovation developed by pH Experiment of Craft Brew Alliance. pH Experiment is engaged in creating, incubating and accelerating new beverages and experiences that address drinkers’ requirements as a priority.
Pacer Low Proof Seltzer has been developed by Thomas Bleigg, Brewmaster of pH Experiment Innovation. The new seltzers range will be available in three flavors – Blood Orange, Melon & Mint, and Meyer Lemon & Lavender.
Each seltzer in the Pacer Low Proof Seltzer range packs less than 50 calories, less than a gram of sugar, and 2% alcohol by volume besides being free from gluten.
Pacer Low Proof Seltzer will be available from July across major chains in the US markets and will be available in two-can packages, a Variety 12-pack, and Blood Orange six-pack.
Karmen Olson – pH Experiment General Manager said: “We already knew moderation was becoming more important to drinkers. What we understood more fully after last year’s research was that moderation means different things to different people in different occasions.
“We heard from many drinkers who said they wanted something that would help them pace themselves to stay in control. With seltzers growing triple digits but available only in non-alcohol or 5% ABV, we saw an opportunity to create a low proof offering that would allow drinkers to moderate at their own pace.”
Prior to Pacer Low Proof Seltzer, pH Experiment introduced PRE Aperitivo Spritz in March, which is a distinctively dry botanical bubbly said to be inspired by the classic Italian cocktail.
PRE Aperitivo Spritz will be available in six-packs of 12 oz cans and 12 oz clear bottles to drinkers in the states of Arizona, Oregon, California, and Tennessee from 27 May 2019.
