Camlin Fine Sciences increases stake in Dresen Quimica in $8.5m deal

Camlin Fine Sciences Limited has acquired an additional stake of up to 33.5% in Mexican specialty chemicals products manufacturer Dresen Quimica from its joint venture partner Controladora De Servicios Riso for $8.5 million in an all-cash deal.

Following the deal, the Mumbai-based chemicals company along with CFS Blends has increased its stake in Dresen Quimica to 98.5%.

Incorporated in 1987, Dresen Quimica directly sells its products to feed and food manufacturers, rendering plants, pet food manufacturers, and industrial consumers.

The company has a footprint in five countries, which include Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, Columbia, and the Dominican Republic. Its turnover for FY 2020-2021 was INR 273.47 crores.
