Brigade Group announces major expansion in Chennai with new residential and resort projects

Brigade Group, a leading real estate developer, has unveiled ambitious expansion plans in Chennai, targeting both the residential and hospitality industries. The company has entered into a joint development agreement with PVP Ventures Limited to develop a high-rise residential project spanning 2.5 million square feet over 16 acres in Perambur, Chennai. This project is anticipated to generate revenue of approximately ₹2000 Crores. Furthermore, Brigade Group has secured a 45-year lease to construct a 250-room resort along East Coast Road (ECR), marking a significant step in bolstering its hospitality portfolio, with discussions underway with top hoteliers to oversee the resort’s operations.

The company’s expansion in Chennai is seen as a pivotal move, driven by the region’s dynamic growth in IT/ITeS, BFSI, manufacturing, automotive, and Global Capability Centers (GCC). Brigade’s extensive land bank, exceeding 12 million square feet of residential projects in Chennai, positions the city as its second-largest market after Bengaluru.
