Bodal Chemicals completes technology upgradation at Rajpura facility

Bodal Chemicals Limited said that it has completed the technology upgradation of its Rajpura manufacturing facility in Punjab, India, which was taken up to cope with the demand for caustic soda.

Established in 1989, Bodal Chemicals is a manufacturer and exporter of chemical products in dyestuffs, basic chemicals, dye intermediates, and their variants.

It has 10 manufacturing plants that have a combined production capacity of 4,21,000MTPA across products.

Ankit Patel — Bodal Chemicals Executive Director said: “This technology upgradation is a notable achievement for the company as we will be able to serve incremental demand for Caustic Soda and reduce overall energy cost.

“Demand for this chemical has been healthy over the last few years, especially in Home Care, Textile, & Paper industries and very few players were able to serve those industries that are based out in North India.

“This will lay the foundation for the company’s next phase of growth and will enhance our market position in the Chlor-alkali chemicals.”

Bodal Chemicals is said to maintain 10 distribution warehouses or depots, of which seven are in India, while the other three are in China, Bangladesh, and Turkey.

Presently, the chlor-alkali chemicals manufacturer is said to produce over 200 chemicals products under different business verticals and caters to over 600 customers across 45 countries.
