BMS Iberia, a subsidiary of specialist (re)insurance broker BMS Group, has acquired Spanish specialist insurance broker Jurado Mata for an undisclosed price.
Established in 1990, Jurado Mata, which is based in Granada, is said to offer a variety of affinity, commercial and personal lines solutions to its Spanish clients.
BMS Group said that it has acquired 100% of the Spanish insurance broker, including its staff and infrastructure which will transfer into BMS Iberia. Juan Mata, the CEO of Jurado Mata will join the board of directors of BMS Iberia upon completion of the integration.

BMS Iberia, which is the Spanish subsidiary of BMS Group, is said to be the keystone entity for BMS Group’s European operations.
BMS Group said the acquisition will bolster the footprint of BMS Iberia in southern Spain and is expected to help the latter become one of the top affinity brokers in Spain.
