Blue Dart Express selects Dipanjan Banerjee as chief commercial officer
Blue Dart Express Limited, a leader in South Asia’s express air and integrated transportation and distribution logistics, has announced the appointment of Dipanjan Banerjee as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCo), effective June 2024. This strategic appointment marks a significant step in strengthening the leadership at Blue Dart, a key player within the DHL Group’s eCommerce division.
Dipanjan Banerjee brings with him nearly two decades of extensive experience in business development and market expansion, primarily within the express delivery and logistics sector. His most recent role was as Chief Business Officer at Ecom Express, where he excelled in leadership and strategic management. Prior to this, he was associated with FedEx Express, where he honed his skills in strategic business planning, supply chain management, and developing tailored express delivery solutions.
Dipanjan is an alumnus of Amity University, holding an MBA in Sales and Marketing, and has completed the Management Development Program at the Indian School of Business (ISB). His contributions to the logistics industry have not gone unnoticed, as he has been named one of India’s top 10 CBOs by prominent industry forums, reflecting his expertise and leadership in the field.
As CCO, Dipanjan Banerjee’s role will encompass key areas such as marketing, sales, and product development across various industries, with a special focus on expanding the e-commerce vertical. His track record of managing profit and loss, strategic planning, and overseeing international operations, including cross-border logistics, positions him well to propel Blue Dart towards achieving its strategic goals.
