BJ’s Wholesale Club, a US membership-only warehouse club chain, will open two new clubs and BJ’s Gas locations in Pensacola, Florida, and Chesterfield, Michigan early next year, bringing approximately 280 jobs to the market.
Two new clubs and BJ’s Gas locations mark expansion for the company and are expected to fetch families savings when compared to grocery stores.
In addition to fresh foods, both clubs will offer a wide range of deli and bakery items, and household essentials such as paper products, cleaning products, diapers, pet supplies, seasonal items, toys, and tech products.
Christopher J Baldwin – chairman and CEO of BJ’s Wholesale Club said: “We see great potential in these markets and look forward to delivering outstanding value and savings to hardworking families in both communities.
“Millions of members love us for the value, convenience and exciting assortment we offer our members every day and we’re excited to bring our fresh approach to both Pensacola and Chesterfield.”
The Pensacola store will be the company’s 33rd location in Florida while the Chesterfield outlet will be the company’s third location in Michigan.
Scheduled to open late last year, BJ’s Wholesale Club’s first two locations in Taylor and Madison Heights, Michigan, will now open in late fall.
BJ’s Wholesale Club Holdings, headquartered in Westborough, Massachusetts, operates in the East Coast of the US. At present, the company runs 217 clubs and 141 BJ’s Gas locations in 16 states.
