The film “Guntur Kaaram,” a project of Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas, has stirred up numerous controversies since its announcement. Tollywood has been abuzz with rumors about creative differences on the set, script revisions, reshoots, and departures from the film crew. The latest report suggests that the cinematographer, PS Vinod, has withdrawn from the project due to creative differences.
Vinod, who has a five-year collaboration history with director Trivikram Srinivas, has worked with him on numerous films, including “Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava” and “Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.” Vinod’s departure from “Guntur Kaaram” marks the end of his third collaboration with the director.
Previously, the female lead Pooja Hegde decided to withdraw from the project due to constant changes in shooting schedules, script alterations, and other issues, reported the PinkVilla website. A source revealed that the changing timelines and recurrent reshoots prompted several other individuals to leave the project. After careful consideration, Pooja Hegde cited scheduling conflicts as her reason for leaving.
Post Pooja Hegde’s departure, Meenakshi Chaudhary stepped in to play the female lead role. In addition, rumors about music composer S Thaman’s departure due to creative differences were debunked by Thaman himself, who dismissed them as baseless.
“Guntur Kaaram” reunites Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas after a decade, with their previous collaborations producing hits like “Athadu” and “Khaleja.” The Tollywood film is slated for release on January 12, 2024.
