Bharat Sanjeevani Program : IndusInd Bank, Bharat Financial partner with UP for livestock healthcare

In a significant collaboration aimed at enhancing livestock healthcare and welfare, IndusInd Bank and its 100% subsidiary, Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (BFIL), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Government of Uttar Pradesh. This partnership is part of their social initiative, the Bharat Sanjeevani Program, focusing on the Western Uttar Pradesh region. The program includes comprehensive operational support for a newly established Cow Sanctuary in Muzaffarnagar and introduces a doorstep tele-medicine and mobile veterinary service under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) umbrella named Sattvam.

The Bharat Sanjeevani Program, spearheaded by IndusInd Bank and BFIL, is designed to support the Cow Sanctuary in Muzaffarnagar, a flagship project by the Government of India. Initially catering to 5,000 destitute cattle, the sanctuary aims to expand its reach in a phased manner. Alongside, the program, in collaboration with the Harit Pradesh Milk Producer Company (HPMPC) and promoted by the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), will roll out doorstep telemedicine and mobile veterinary services across seven districts in Western Uttar Pradesh, including Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Bulandshahr, Saharanpur, Hapur, Shamli, and Bijnor. This initiative also features a centralized call center in Muzaffarnagar, providing farmers with access to mobile veterinary services through a toll-free number, facilitated by professionals, medicines, and a dedicated mobile app.
