Bajaj Auto reports 52% YOY growth in vehicle sales in March 2021

Bajaj Auto said that it had sold 369,448 units in March 2021, an increase of 52% compared to the 242,575 units it sold in March 2020.

The Indian automobile manufacturer said that it registered export sales of 170,897 units during last month, which is 36% more than 126,034 units sold in March 2020.

On the other hand, the domestic sales of vehicles surged 70% to 198,551 in March 2021 compared to 116,541 units in March 2020.

In March 2021, Bajaj Auto sold 330,133 two-wheelers, compared to 210,976 in March 2020, which marks an increase of 56%.

The number of motorcycles exported was 148,740 in March 2021, which is 32% more than 112,564 motorcycles sold outside in March 2020.

The domestic sales of Bajaj Auto motorcycles grew 84% to 181,393 units in March 2021, in comparison to 98,412 units in March 2020.

sales grew 24% year-over-year (YoY) to 39,315 units in March 2021, from 31,599 in March 2020.

Exports of Commercial Vehicles in March 2021 stood at 22,157 units, compared to 13,470 in March 2020.

Domestic sales of Bajaj Auto commercial Vehicles were down by 5% in March 2021 to 17,158 units, compared to 18,129 units sold in March 2020.
