Babcock & Wilcox wins $12m solar panel installation contracts in US Midwest

Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) said that its B&W renewable business has won contracts worth over $12 million from an undisclosed customer for installing solar panels for a couple of utility-scale solar projects in the US Midwest with a total capacity of 144MW.

According to Babcock & Wilcox, the photovoltaic solar farms will generate power for over 20,000 households and businesses.

Jimmy Morgan — Babcock & Wilcox Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer said: “The U.S. clean energy revolution is under way, and we’re excited to be part of these utility-scale solar projects.

“B&W’s solar services are part of our broad suite of renewable energy, decarbonization and environmental solutions.”

Babcock & Wilcox said that project planning is going on and completion is slated for Q4 2022.
