Aviation Capital Group finalizes order for 13 more Boeing 737 MAX jets
Boeing and Aviation Capital Group LLC (ACG) are ramping up their alliance as ACG finalizes a new order for 13 additional 737 MAX jets. The incremental order, which brings ACG’s total 737 MAX commitments to 47, includes seven 737-8 and six 737-10 models. This expansion comes in response to soaring customer demand for the fuel-efficient 737 MAX airplane family.
ACG Expands Fuel-Efficient Fleet with 737 MAX Order
Steven Udvar-Hazy, Senior Vice President and Chief of Aircraft Operations at ACG, emphasized the significance of the deal. “We’re delighted to extend ACG’s engagement with the 737 MAX program. This extra order positions us to deliver highly fuel-efficient and versatile planes to our global airline customers,” Udvar-Hazy said. The 737 MAX series is increasingly becoming a go-to option for lessors, with over 1,300 737 MAX jets already ordered.
737 MAX: The Fuel-Saver Jet in High Demand
Both variants of the 737 MAX offer substantial fuel efficiency and reduced carbon emissions. The 737-8 model can carry up to 210 passengers and has a range of 3,500 nautical miles. On the other hand, the 737-10, the largest of the 737 MAX family, can accommodate up to 230 passengers and has a 3,100-nautical-mile range. Both aircraft variants cut down fuel use and CO2 emissions by 20% compared to the planes they are replacing.
Boeing and ACG Aim for Sustainable Air Travel
Christy Reese, Vice President of Global Leasing Commercial Sales & Marketing at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, praised ACG’s forward-thinking approach. “ACG’s enlarging 737 MAX portfolio lets its airline partners operate more sustainably and efficiently,” she said. On average, each 737 MAX plane saves up to eight million pounds of CO2 emissions annually, making it an eco-friendly option with a 50% smaller noise footprint than its predecessors.
As Boeing and ACG strengthen their partnership, the 737 MAX continues to set the standard for fuel-efficient, eco-friendly air travel, solidifying its position as a prized asset in lessors’ portfolios.
