Audacious acquires cannabinoid infused shot beverage brand LOOS

Australis Capital (doing business as Audacious) has acquired California-based infused shot beverage company Gary Maverick, which operates under the brand name LOOS.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Audacious said that with LOOS it is adding an exciting new beverage brand and product range to its portfolio, which is targeted at a generally savvy and influential target market.

According to Audacious, Loos’ management team has more than a decade of collective experience in cannabis with brands like 710 Labs, Plus Products, Flow Kana, and Loudpack. Their first product – a 2oz drink (shot) infused with 100mg of THC, is available in Orange Crush Sativa, Lavender Indica, and Green Dream Hybrid, flavors.

All the three flavors are said to have a unique terpene profile and are infused with added nutraceuticals for enhanced functionality.

Anthony Bendana and – LOOS founders jointly said: “As two people who worked their way up from the bottom in this industry, we saw an opportunity to create a brand with quality, effective, and affordable products that specifically caters to the cannabis community we love.

“The CPG space is filled with brands focusing on new consumers and the canna-curious and we’re excited to join them on the shelves and counters to help the entire cannabis community get Loos. We believe this industry should aspire to the highest ideals of the cannabis pioneers that powered it into existence and want Loos to be an ambassador for the type of radical empathy, compassion, and community we could all use to help us stay loose.”

Loos’ cannabinoid infused shot beverage products are based on a nano-emulsion technology platform for quick onset. They are all natural, vegan, free from gluten and contain low sugar and also low calories.

After foraying into the market in the 2oz drink category, Loos intends to release various other products across several key categories, which include CBD infused shots.
